Parting with the world we know,
I drove into the wild world
of Red Rock Canyon,
to the west of all the neon lights,
secluded,
as if purposely,
as if drawing the line.
You do not gamble here with chips
and dice and beer,
gamble with your steps,
your breath, your pounding heart
and sore thighs,
your breath, your pounding heart
and sore thighs,
as if reminding us,
live with yin and yang
and stay young.
